Opening Doors To Help Others
At Never Hungry Saskatoon, we are building an online community of love by the example of Jesus Christ to help people in need of an emergency food hamper.
This is a Jesus Christian faith based group and we are open to ALL and EVERYONE in need regardless of religious beliefs, political views, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or standing in society.

Matthew 25:35
For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.

Some Of What We Are Doing In Saskatoon
Never Hungry Saskatoon continues to grow with support of businesses in our community. We currently have a private corporation who is able to donate tons of bread products weekly that through volunteers have been able to connect most other charities in Saskatoon. We are also able to supply the public-school board with donations of bread for their nutrition program which helps over 18 public schools and in all helping to feed over 4000 people weekly!

All Kids Matter
We have been blessed to be able to host a Kids Party for our yearly anniversary. We missed 1 year thanks to Covid but 2022 will look to be bigger and better than previous years! In 2021 we were able to have a pizza party at the pool with drinks and gift bags for all 110 kids that were able to come. Each gift bag had small toys, candy and 1 large expensive toy too! Stay tuned for more information as we draw closer to the end of the year!

How It All Works
Never Hungry Saskatoon is a Facebook group and in the side scrolling menu below it explains the steps for members to be able to seek help from others on line in the group! Daisy's Cupboard - Never Hungry Prince Albert
As Never Hungry Saskatoon has grown people have taken notice. Tanya Goertzen was drawn to this as she looked to honor her passed puppy "Daisy" and the first new chapter was born in Prince Albert called, Daisy's Cupboard Never Hungry P.A. We have watched as she has led an excellent team and helped so many in her city as she continues to grow in numbers!

Who I Am And How This Came To Be
The Calling
I am a recovering addict, 5 years sober, who has lived a life of selfishness and self-hate for most of my time on earth. It took nearly dying twice before I cried to God to save me from myself, and I was answered. I didn't and do not deserve his grace, but he saved me for something more than I had been. To become a person of hope to share with others and do what I can to show gratitude for the new life given.
In my journey to sobriety, I went to a faith-based rehab called Teen Challenge. It seemed like a great fit at first because I was connecting with God and really seeking him in all I did. But the place is a hospital for the sick of soul and everyone there were professional manipulators and liars. In this many divides were made and I found myself isolated from others for focusing on my own journey.
After 3 months I was evicted because of gossip and lies and during this time I became fearful I had not done enough, that I had let God down. But being human we can never understand Gods plan until its come so the fear and uncertainty of a unsuccessful rehab overtook me.
But, I came to see that I could still listen and follow and I knew I had something more to do, I just didn't know what. I have always had strong empathy for others and I had a strong feeling that doing for others would be my new calling. So I joined help groups. Lots of them. But in it I found too much anger and judgement of others and it seemed to not be the fit God intended for me.
So I left and prayed, and prayed, AND prayed some more! I woke one morning to an urge from God to create a new group, and Never Hungry Saskatoon came to be. In this we went from 50 people on my Facebook friends list to over 3100 in 5 years. We connect those in need with those wanting to help. Being able to meet each other on the ground level helps build our community as we build new relationships with people we might never have known.
We are not paid and do not make any money in this; we are not an accredited charity, but we are a group of volunteers who rely on donations and members to help as they can. We do accept money donations but are unable to give receipts for tax purposes. We have a financial donation team that handles any monetary gift so that there is accountability to the group and funds given. The gifts given have ALWAYS been used 100% for those in the group needing help. I do have a full-time job, this is just my passion for Christ and what I am called to do.
We are a growing group of people wanting a different way of being, to treat each other with love and respect regardless of all of our differences. Jesus said,
"Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another." John 13:34
This is what we shall do.
God bless!
